We had a fun night on the Palmer playground with students and families as we “Lit up Palmer!” A special guest dropped by to say Ho Ho! #LightUpPalmerWithKindness.
What a great day we had at Palmer! We enjoyed welcoming families back into the building and had a wonderful take-home Thankful Meal! Thank you to DB Culinary Arts, Port City Church, and many other community organizations for helping to make it a success!
On this Labor Day holiday, we pay tribute to all workers and their achievements. We’re especially thankful for child care providers and early educators who walk alongside parents to help our children get a strong start in life.
I am pleased to celebrate the fantastic KCS early childhood educators for their hard work in building strong foundations for our youngest learners. You are appreciated every single day! #TeacherAppreciationWeek

The amount of skilled effort that goes into child care is immense, resulting in high worth. But many parents who need reliable child care to work cannot afford that high worth. The result is a clear need to better subsidize child care as the infrastructural support it is.
