Brilliant blog outlining the role UKHSA has in addressing health inequalities. Excited to be working with the team to ensure that across all of UKHSA's brilliant work on health security, we are reducing health disparities and achieving equitable outcomes.
The @eBug_UK website has been completely refreshed!
Not only is it even more intuitive to navigate, but we have also further improved both webpage and document #accessibility!

Brilliant webinar by @Brieze26 and @MagdalenaHann on how @eBug_UK resources can be used to create #healthyschools. Great to hear from educators on how engaging students find the lessons and how easy the materials are to adapt. Watch this space for our next webinar in Sept!
On my way home after 2 thought provoking days in Bucharest with the @Safe_Consume conference on behalf of @eBug_UK. Very happy to speak about one of of my favourite topics- integrating effective interventions in systems for sustainability!
Brilliant presentation by @MagdalenaHann showing the enormous work by @eBug_UK and our partners to create effective and engaging #foodsafety educational resources for young people
To develop the #foodsafety resources, @MagdalenaHann shares how @eBug_UK used an iterative process, including 'think-aloud' exercises, ensuring we maximised the effectiveness of materials that met the needs of teachers and students across @Safe_Consume.
Keenly aware that many of the actions we want consumers to take become even harder during times of economic hardship. Looking forward to discussing more how we can continue to promote healthy behaviours with an #inequalities lens
Takeaways from day 1:
1. We need a multisectoral multidisciplinary approach to effectively tackle the problem
2. Important to consider pragmatism in our interventions
3. Behaviours are engrained but people want to do the right thing- its up to us to get our messaging right!

We are in Bucharest this week for the @Safe_Consume conference. 14 countries represented across Europe to present innovations and research on #foodsafety
Appalled by the decision to repeal Roe. If you are a brit, please consider signing this petition to put pressure on the US, and consider donating to brilliant charities such as @WoWabortionpill@reprolegalfund@MSIchoices who were and continue to fight for our rights
Overnight, millions of women in America could lose access to safe, legal abortion care.
The government must not watch quietly as women's rights are rolled-back. Join us and call on @TrussLiz to condemn this appalling breach of human rights.

A joy to catch up with @E4A_MamaYeKenya today and hear how coalitions are going from strength to strength in advocating for improved health services. Excited to see everything in store for them over the coming years 🙌
We have invested in building skills & equipping civil society to understand, track & analyze budgets & use as evidence to demand greater transparency & increased funding for RMNCAH priorities.
As a result, greater achievements have been accomplished.

4. By building AMR and #IPC into the curriculum and providing support and guidance to educators, we can make sure CYP are equipped to respond to the threat of #antimicrobialresistance
At 11.30 tomorrow, we are running an online session on 'Educating the next generation on health threats' with #newscientistlive We will be speaking with a brilliant set of panellists from health and education- join and ask us your questions! #AMR#edutwitter
Mainly thinking today about the women sacrificing themselves for their communities. In 🇬🇧, standing up against rising poverty, in 🇰🇪 to demand better maternal health, in 🇳🇬 for UHC and of course all women in so many places confronting oppressors 🇺🇦 🇸🇴 🇵🇸 🇾🇪 #IWD2022
Privileged to work with women who #BreakTheBias and champion STEM. On #IWD2022, I'm struck by their constant encouragement and support of each other and of me. What a team 🙌 #WomenforWomen
I love working with @eBug_UK partners. So many brilliant, inspiring women, like Dulce, who #BreakTheBias and are pushing the fight against #AMR forwards across health and education.
Meet Dulce, our Portuguese e-Bug partner! Here's what she had to say about #IWD22
We can't agree more that having equality in leadership roles is a benefit to all, not only women.

On #IDWGS2022 I'm celebrating not only the incredible women I get to work with @UKHSA but also the inquisitive minds of the future who will address global threats. Excited to see how @eBug_UK plays a role in inspiring girls to address #AntimicrobialResistance
Today is International Day of Women and Girls in Science. Vicki Chalker, Head of Profession for Science and Engineering at UKHSA, talks about her career and why the future is bright for science, in our blog #IDWGS2022
