I keep thinking of this. I think every woman of colour in Britain knows this expression, the way it is deployed and the racist meangirling that it signifies.
We see it in offices, pubs, nights out, classrooms, academic conferences, department meetings….
#WorldSuicidePreventionDay is about international action. 3/4 of suicides worldwide are in low & middle income countries.
What can rich countries do? Maintain foreign aid, make climate crisis a priority, support refugees, train MH professionals, ensure MH treatment is available.
What do figures like these tell us about the current crisis?
