📅 NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Recruiting Calendar for 2024-2025

Stay informed about the key recruiting periods for the upcoming cycle:

• Transfer Portal March 24th-April 22nd

Contact Periods:
•January 1 – April 1, 2025: Coaches can have in-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations.
•April 11 – April 30, 2025: In-person, off-campus recruiting contacts and evaluations are allowed.

Dead Periods:
•April 3 – April 10, 2025: No in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations are permitted.
•May 11, 2025: No in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations are permitted.
•May 21 – June 1, 2025: No in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations are permitted.
•June 15, 2025: No in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations are permitted.
•June 19, 2025: No in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations are permitted.
•July 1 – July 31, 2025: No in-person recruiting contacts or evaluations are permitted.

Quiet Periods:
•May 1 – May 15, 2025: In-person recruiting contacts are permissible only on the member institution’s campus.
•May 19 – May 20, 2025: In-person recruiting contacts are permissible only on the member institution’s campus.
•June 2 – June 30, 2025: In-person recruiting contacts are permissible only on the member institution’s campus.

Evaluation Periods:
•May 16 – May 18, 2025: Evaluations are permitted at NCAA-certified events only. This period begins Friday at 8 a.m. and ends Sunday at 4 p.m.
•June 20 – June 22, 2025: Evaluations are permitted at approved NCAA, NFHS, and applicable two-year college governing body scholastic events. This period begins Friday at noon and ends Sunday at 6 p.m.
•June 27 – June 29, 2025: Evaluations are permitted at approved NCAA, NFHS, and applicable two-year college governing body scholastic events. This period begins Friday at noon and ends Sunday at 6 p.m.
•July 10 – July 13, 2025: Evaluations are permitted at NCAA-certified events, institutional camps, and permissible governing body events. This period begins Thursday at 8 a.m. and ends Sunday at 6 p.m.
•July 18 – July 20, 2025: Evaluations are permitted at NCAA-certified events, institutional camps, and permissible governing body events. This period begins Friday at 6 p.m. and ends Sunday at 3 p.m.
•July 21 – July 23, 2025: Evaluation period exclusively for the NCAA College Basketball Academy.

Note: All live evaluations during the academic year recruiting periods are limited to regularly scheduled high school, preparatory school, and two-year college contests/tournaments and practices; regular scholastic activities involving prospective student-athletes enrolled only at the institution where the regular scholastic activities occur; and regularly scheduled international scholastic team or nonscholastic team practice and competition.
