What you’re about to see are the final moments of a young protester killed on January 8 in Ariashahr, Tehran. The footage is filmed by someone who desperately tried to save him. You can hear the panic in his voice. You can see the chaos. He did everything he could. It wasn’t enough. The young man died from his wounds.

This is what the Islamic Republic does. It shoots its own people in the streets of its own capital and leaves strangers trying to keep them alive with their bare hands.

Witnesses describe those two days as catastrophic, with claims that tens of thousands were killed. Even if the real number is lower, the scale of the violence was staggering and undeniable.

The world needs to face this: a regime capable of this level of brutality against its own citizens is not restrained, not stable, and not humane.

If it shows no mercy to its own people in Tehran, why would anyone believe it would show mercy beyond its borders?

This is not just Iran’s tragedy. Violence like this does not stay contained forever.
