Total: ~€4.6bn/year for all 32 members combined.
Not trillions. Not hundreds of billions.

Within that budget, the U.S. contributes 16% (€730m/year).
Germany pays roughly the same.
The rest is covered collectively by Europe, Canada, and others.

European countries fund their own militaries.
Their own soldiers.
Their own equipment.
Their own defense spending — increasingly at or above NATO targets.
Europe pays for Europe’s defense.

The U.S. presence in Europe isn’t charity.
It’s a mutually beneficial strategic arrangement that also serves American power projection, industry, and influence.

Greenland is not U.S. property.
