@maxrushden@guardian_sport@bglendenning @robyniocowen @JohnBrewin_ Everyone will be raging at England as per. But what about looking at, controversial I know, from the other teamโs angle. How have Switzerland been? Poor is my answer. About time every game is not just Englandโs up or down and seeing the opposition and what they do too
@maxrushden@archiert1@PhilippeAuclair@bglendenning@JFfutbol People wanging on about how you have to play footy and England are garbage, France are, Belgium are etc. but France could conceivably win the Euros having scored a single open play goal
@maxrushden@bglendenning@markpougatch@NickyBandini Are you enjoying it? I might be mishearing but the pod has made little mention of the joy of football. Is it because England โarenโt doing wellโ so things are seen through a negative lens eg โSpain are playing well, unlike Englandโ.
@maxrushden@bglendenning@PhilippeAuclair@marklangdon Relentlessly bleak. Itโs football not politics or war. Bring in some joy. England are bad. Portugal are bad. Ronaldo is bad/vain. Belgium are bad and petulant. France and bad. Try and think of one thing about an international tournament and being paid to watch you enjoy. Jeeze
@guardian_sport@maxrushden@danbardell The usual negative England festival, that is every episode at the minute whether they have played or not, struggled to find any positive to England being in the QF (4th in a row). How about Kane scoring a meaningful goal when apparently he doesnโt?
@maxrushden My favourite thing is Max saying after they scored that he still thinks he was right. Yeah couldnโt possibly be that Southgate, who has won more knockout games than any other England manager, knows what he is doing.
