I watched every game of the DeMar DeRozan era
I watched Keita Bates-Diop score 31 points in the final game at Staples Center
I watched the Spurs get bounced from the play-in by the Pelicans
I cried when Dejounte Murray was traded
I watched the 2022-2023, 22-60 season
I attended the Alamodome game where we broke the NBA attendance record
I was crushed when Gregg Popovich had to step away from the game not on his terms
I was crushed when Victor Wembanyama got diagnosed with season ending blood clots
And I just watched the Spurs reach the NBA Finals

OG Spurs fans (millennials and older) are being insufferably obnoxious right now for damn good reason. We grew up watching our beloved Spurs grow from a one time remote basketball outpost to the top of the NBA world. Had a whole DYNASTY be denigrated as boring. Our Big 3 (winningest of all time btw) disrespected. Our titles downplayed. Our franchise blamed when it was wronged by a deceitful, selfish star turning heel. Damn right we're gonna enjoy the hell out of this new rise. We are coming to collect our flowers that should have been proffered during the Popovich era. With fucking interest. If ANY fanbase deserves to be feted, it's San Antonio. No city adores its pro team more. It ain't just a game for us. It's passion. It's family. It's our love language, whether you're a basketball fan or not. The Spurs ARE San Antonio. From Fiesta to the Riverwalk. From Helotes to Elmendorf. From Randolph Air Force Base to Lackland Air Force Base. From Stone Oak to Somerset. From Converse to Castroville. It's always Go Spurs Go #PorVida
