The video describes CEC Gyanesh Kumar as a “gaslighter” while discussing the controversy over changes to Form 6, the application used by new voters.

The underlying issue is documented. The Indian Express reported that Election Commissioners Vivek Joshi and Sukhbir Singh Sandhu had objected to the SIR-linked change, with Joshi recording in May that Form 6 could not be altered without amending the relevant statutory rules; Sandhu subsequently concurred.

The Election Commission, however, says differing views and internal observations are a normal part of institutional deliberation and maintains that its decisions over the past year were unanimous decisions of the full Commission.

So the central question is not whether disagreement existed—it clearly did. The important questions are how the Form 6 change was authorised, what legal procedure was followed, and whether the concerns recorded by the two Commissioners were adequately addressed.

Democracy requires more than competing statements.
It requires records, transparency and answers.
