Another recent one that comes to mind is ranking of kings, it has one of the most disturbing scenes that I have seen in an anime and it is all done with this cute and colorful style

This style is very similar to Osamu Tezuka's style, it looks cute and childish but a lot of his stories had very heavy topics and scenes like Dororo, it's just a different style and everybody has their opinion but i love seeing different Manga styles

keep seeing people say that jaadugar’s art style doesn’t match w the tone of the story and while they’re entitled to that opinion it’s the juxtaposition between the cutesy style and the horrific events that compels me the most. i think it’s even better in black & white

Alicent is Rhaenyra's main abuser in the show, her father as absent for many years and in that time she was able to torment Rhaenyra so much it made her go to Dragon Stone
That is why i hate the timeskip and Rhaenicent and this show for trying to make Alicent a saint now

the writers think rhaenyra’s stepdaughter deserves this treatment even tho she wasn’t directly involved in jace’s death (nyra says aloud that it was sheepstealer’s fault) but alicent (who’s not been friends with rhaenyra for DECADES) gets vip treatment, teary eyes and soft smiles
