@Babyteethbites I care about people's political values
those values turn into votes
those votes turn into policies
and those policies affect people's lives
doesn't matter how nice someone may be about it
the CIA thanks you for your unpaid volunteer work bro keep on dividing us along artificial racial lines so we can never realize our shared struggle and unite against our oppressors
The whales, acid rain, and the ozone layer are big time conservation/environmentalist successes but much like Y2K mitigation are un/misremembered because of that success

nobody else in the lab had been having issues because everyone else worked with highly specific mammal primers but not me. I pipetted the horrid reptile soup day after day. contamination issues resolved after I banished the gecko outside and he was not credited in my thesis
Tangentially, I still suspect that the real reason why *b is so rare in reconstructable PIE is that most instances of it actually merged with *w and maybe sometimes *m. PIE *w is weird in being the only resonant that co-occurs in root-initial clusters with other resonants, and when it does it is always the first such element. IMO a lot of cases of *wr-, *wl-, and *wy- were probably actually **br-, **bl-, and **by-. There's also just a weirdly large amount of homophones beginning with *w- and I don't think you can get away with explaining that by just throwing in initial laryngeals everywhere.
The more you suppress certain viewpoints, the more power and appeal you give them.
Woodward called it the "forbidden fruit effect."
Even ideas that make your skin crawl need protection.
Not because they're right. But because silencing them creates something more dangerous.
hey @StreamElements would you mind telling streamers why you are not only allowing, but promoting AI based overlays/alerts?
Your custom overlay system is very nice, but if this is where you're going, I don't know that I want to use streamelements anymore
