Delighted to share the news of my successor’s appointment. This has been an incredible job and I will be sorry to leave over the summer. I wish Tammy every success @UKinHolySee! https://t.co/85Exg9g3zB

A year ago Their Majesties King Charles and Queen Camilla greeted Pope Francis in a private meeting at the Vatican. A moving occasion that demonstrated great mutual respect.

Palmerston brightened up the FCDO corridors when I worked in London. His unannounced office inspections were a a perk of the job. Rest in peace, our dear tuxedo’d pal 🐾
Our Chief Mouser, feline diplomat and former @Battersea_ resident, Palmerston @DiploMog, has sadly passed away at his retirement post in Bermuda.
Farewell Palmerston, with love and thanks from all your FCDO friends.
