Halfway through Death of a Pastor's Wife on Netflix. I've been out of that evangelical world for awhile so the theology/rhetoric is so obviously problematic now. But I'm finding it fascinating (and triggering) how much of our former church was similar- though we thought it was normal Christianity at the time.

That pastor (JP) is not the first narcissist to run a church. Not by a long shot. And when you mix God/spiritual authority with narcissism, a lot of people get hurt.
