Outside Lviv station, which is thronging with exhausted refugees fleeing war in eastern Ukraine, an accomplished pianist is playing “What a Wonderful World.” It’s hauntingly beautiful.
@AOC The 14th Amendment section 3 of the U.S Constitution clearly states what needs to happen NOW: Any elected official who incited and were involved in the U.S. Capitol attack should be removed and barred for life from ever holding an elected office.
@tedcruz Trying to pass a bill to save the planet is not a crime. Supporting white supremacists is. Resign @tedcruz. @AOC you have a supporter in Texas.
Van, thank you for expressing the sorrow and relief that we all feel. My hope is that those who hoped for a different outcome will take a moment to empathize with the pain so many of us have felt over the past four years.
And I know you’ll do the same tomorrow night, @KamalaHarris. You’ve got this. So many people will be doing everything we can to get you and @JoeBiden elected this fall. We can’t waste a moment. We’ve got to vote early—and show up in numbers that can’t be ignored.

Maybe the Trump admin should focus more on cutting public assistance to billionaires instead of poor families.
@BernieSanders Agree! In addition, voting centers should be equipped with same proper signs, computers, personnel. Centers in poor areas do not have outdoor signs to identify them. Voters get discouraged because they don't know where to go. This is an easy way to manipulate elections.
My advice to every student beginning a new school year:
There will be people who tell you it can’t be done: don’t listen to them. Reject false choices and know that you can do anything if you work for it. Make good friends and seek out mentors.
The stain Donald Trump leaves on our Nation’s soul should be a constant reminder that we cannot assume candidates for public office have the competence, integrity, & decency Americans deserve. In 2020, we need to elect someone to safeguard & strengthen democracy, not trample it.
