Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić gave a long interview to the Swiss weekly Weltwoche in which he revealed that Serbia is checking oil, flour and sugar stocks because there will be a world war in 3-4 months.

Given the very good relations of the Serbian president with Vladimir Putin and Moscow, it is possible that Vučić knows what is happening behind the scenes and interpreted the Russian ultimatum to NATO, especially after admitting the transfer of Ukrainian F-16 fighter jets to NATO bases in Romania and Poland.

In the interview, he stated, among other things:

The rhetoric is getting worse day by day and it reminds me of a quote from a famous historian: "The train has left the station and no one can stop it." I believe that the last days are approaching when we have the opportunity to reevaluate and reflect on what is happening in Ukraine . If the big powers don't do something soon, yes, I'm pretty sure we're in for a real disaster.

If you're betting that someone is bluffing, it means you don't have better cards. You just think that the other person has weaker cards. You're not sure because you don't know his cards and haven't seen them. I am always very cautious and circumspect when assessing Putin's wishes or possible future move.

The situation is further complicated by the fact that everyone is talking only about the war. No one seeks peace. Nobody talks about peace. Peace is almost a forbidden word!

I find it very strange that no one is trying to stop the war. There is another theory - which I understand.

I am not saying that I approve of her - that the West thinks that they can easily defeat Putin, they want to exhaust him in Ukraine and then enter the space and Russia with its current territory will cease to exist and Putin will be overthrown, etc. Maybe it is doable, but... ..

Why do I say that we are walking right next to the edge of the abyss? Analyze the situation of NATO and the USA. They cannot afford the luxury of defeat in the war in Ukraine.

Second, the position of Europe and the collective West will deteriorate so much from a geopolitical point of view that no one will be able to regenerate and restore it.....

The really scary thing is that whatever “it” turns out to be—no matter how improbable or unbelievable—the unthinking critical masses will buy it. And in doing so, per Jung’s warning of the psychic dangers of infected minds, we will all be dragged into the ensuing nightmare whether we “buy it” or no.

We’re not so much ‘sleepwalking’ into this conflagration, as some clueless pundits have suggested, thereby invoking the phrase that was famously used by a number of First World War scribes to portray the descent into the madness of the original War to End all Wars. As with the sequel to that last war, we’re instead sprinting into the next charnel house with eyes wide open.

On a slightly different note, as a former history teacher I’ve often declared that pretty much everything I ever taught my students was, to paraphrase Hank Ford, “bunkum”. This especially applies to the largely hidden history of the true causes of both World Wars. I didn’t know this at the time; that epiphany came much later. (Even if I did know then and attempted to teach to what I knew, I’d have been out on my ass in a New York minute.)

Yet never before has a deeper appreciation of our historical revisionists’ insights into the real catalysts for these conflicts been more pressing. That said, even if that “appreciation” were to suddenly materialise via some mystical collective epiphany, I fear it could be too late. The mobilisation toward madness has already begun. Once the war machine is cranked up, the history we can rely on throws up few examples of which I’m aware wherein common sense prevailed, the machine was shut down, and certain catastrophe averted.

And for some of us at least, although it’s very clear who the real bad guys are this time round, such ‘clarity’ upon the part of the aforesaid “critical masses” will doubtless be in very short supply. Sadly it seems it was ever thus. In reality the critical masses—the ones with the most to lose—will end up becoming the biggest cheerleaders for any new ‘warlike enterprise’. As that eternal optimist Georges Hegel once memorably intoned: “The only thing we learn from history is that we learn nothing from history!”

Truth be told, the “bad guys” this time around are none other than the political/ideological descendants of the same herd of Judas-goats who led our forbears into the two previous wars!

Lawrence Anthony was a conservationist and author known as "The Elephant Whisperer" who passed away on March 2nd, 2012.

In 1999, Anthony rescued and rehabilitated a group of wild South African elephants who were deemed dangerous. And the animals appear to remember what he did for them: when Anthony passed away, a group of elephants visited his house in the South African KwaZulu for a two-day vigil, according to his family.

Anthony, who grew up in rural Zimbabwe, Zambia, and Malawi, was known for his unique ability to communicate with and calm traumatized elephants.

In his book 'The Elephant Whisperer: My Life with the Herd in the African Wild', he tells the story of saving the elephant herds at the request of an animal welfare organization.

Anthony concluded that the only way he could save these elephants, who were categorized as violent and unruly, was to live with them - "To save their lives, I would stay with them, feed them, talk to them. But, most importantly, be with them day and night".

When Anthony died of a heart attack, the elephants, who were grazing miles away in different parts of the park, traveled over 12 hours to reach his house.

According to his son Jason, both herds arrived shortly after Anthony's death. They hadn't visited the compound where Anthony lived for a year and a half, but Jason says "in coming up there on that day of all days, we certainly believe that they had sensed it".

@INaughtyBuBu Absolutely appalling.. I remember watching documentary some years ago about there also being a problem in Pakistan where young boys are prostituted on the streets often by own family for money or are homeless and end up addicted to drugs and abused, very sad..
