▪︎● Impact News has uncovered a brazen state-Sponsored Extortion Racket in Manipur where an illegal tax ranging from ₹9,000 to ₹20,000 per truck is being extorted with the directive & under the name of Manipur Dy. CM Losii Dikho through his PRO.

▪︎● Drivers who refused or are unable to pay this hefty illegal extortion were unlawfully held hostage for over 48 hours by the Dy. CM's goons & were only released after Media intervention who also found a ledger meticulously recording receipts of the illegal extortion ranging from Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 20,000 per truck.

▪︎● According to reports & Manipur Congress leader, a full fledged network of extortion booths have been set up at the behest of @npf_fna senior leader & Manipur Dy. CM Losii Dikho.

⚠️ Who the hell is the Senapati District Students’ Association to hold an entire civilian population hostage with a 120+ day economic blockade?

Blocking food, medicine and fuel for Kukis living along IT Road is not “peaceful democratic agitation.” It is collective punishment. What law allows a student body to cut off essential supplies and medical access — including for newborns and pregnant mothers — and still call itself a student organisation?

Article 21 of the Indian Constitution guarantees the right to life. You do not get to suspend fundamental rights for political mileage or to pursue your fascist agenda.

If lives are lost because essential commodities were obstructed, responsibility sits with SDSA and its federating units.

This kind of fascist attitude and collective punishment must be called out. Those responsible will have to answer for their actions and face accountability for the harm caused.

With regard to the implementation of NRC in #Manipur region, the Kuki Inpi, as the Apex Body of the #Kuki people, issued a PRESS STATEMENT today, intimating its resolute stance on the issue. In intimating its opinion and resolute decision, the Apex Body expresses saying:

"The State Government and the #Meitei Leadership may implement NRC at any time of their convenience and in any manner as deemed fit [but] within their own territorial bounds clearly marked by the #BufferZones. The #Manipur State issue in no way concerns the #Kuki_Zo people who have been forced out of #Maniput State and were compelled to petition their grievances to the Government of India for a Constitutional protection in the creation of a Union Territory with Legislature for the #Kuki_Zo prople."

The Kuki Inpi express its willingness to not go against the efforts of Central Government in implementing NRC within the #Meitei inhabited region under the strict supervision of the Supreme Court, but caution to consult the Kuki Inpi in case of any intent to implement NRC within the territorial jurisdiction of the #Kuki_Zo people. The Apex Body emphasize the utmost importance and immediate necessity of settling the Political Demands of the #Kuki_Zo Community who have endured more than 14 Months of all forms of #MeiteiWarCrimes and #MeiteiAtrocities spearheaded by the fascist CM #NBirenSingh and his Government.
