Kanu Outsmarted Everyone — Even the Court

He knew the verdict was predetermined.

He knew no one in that courtroom would deliver justice.

So he 'fired' his lawyers.

Not out of anger. Not out of defiance. But out of strategy and care.

Kanu refused to let the blame for an inevitable outcome fall on those who were loyal to him. He protected his team. He centred himself on the real issue: the fight for his people.

This wasn’t just smart. It was brilliant leadership.

It showed how far he will go for those he loves. How deeply he thinks ahead. How he fights with purpose, not ego.

-Shielded his lawyers from public anger

-Removed distractions that could derail the mission

-Maintained focus on the freedom struggle

Kanu didn’t just react to the system — he played the system while protecting his own.

Leaders like this aren’t common. Visionaries like this are rare.

And now the world sees it: even when the odds are stacked, even when the game is rigged, Kanu thinks ten steps ahead.

This is strategy. Loyalty. Leadership. Courage.

He didn’t need the courtroom to fight for his people. He needed clarity, focus, and the courage to act — and he delivered all three.

While urging #Ndigbo to remain calm, I must question the wisdom of sending #MNK to Sokoto prison. When Awolowo was convicted in 1963, he was sent to the East, a neutral zone in his feud with the North. Pres. Tinubu can still halt this drift, as I said in this video.
