Saw The Backrooms and I know nothing about the creepypasta, games, etc.

The film is a refreshing break away from typical Hollywood slop. Acting, cinematography and effects were on point. I don't think I've ever seen even an average performance from Chiwetel Ejiofor, let alone a poor one.

With that being said, while I understand this is the type of movie that isn't meant to answer all the questions, there were some moments that left me very confused that I don't think should have. It kinda reminds me of some of the issues I had with Iron Lung, which makes me think that maybe these type of movies simply aren't for me.

Would probably need another viewing to properly establish my thoughts, but there's a large part of me that thinks I'm just too simple minded for a movie like this and shouldn't even bother.

Don't regret my ticket, but not my cup of tea.
