NEW INFOGRAPH: STRAIT OF HORMUZ TRANSIT ROUTES
Take a look at our latest infograph examining contested transit routes through the Strait of Hormuz.

Omani officials have confirmed to me just now that their position is no to mandatory fees or tolls in the strait of Hormuz in line with international maritime freedom of navigation despite any statements coming from Tehran or press reports to the contrary
@ibratas1 Here is the agreement. I don’t find any part allows for a buffer zone or a permanent IDF presence. It repeatedly mentions the IDF’s withdrawal. As for predictions of civil war, those remain speculation. It is ultimately in the hands of the Lebanese people

Lebanon is taking an important step toward reclaiming its sovereignty. The authority to decide war and peace should rest with its elected government, not with a terrorist organization that held the country hostage while advancing Tehran’s agenda.
BREAKING: Lebanese President Joseph Aoun says the framework agreement signed with Israel is a first step towards restoring Lebanon's sovereignty after the war between Israel and Hezbollah.
🔴 More on https://t.co/2D6g9fxoMp
@ibratas1 Which part of the framework authorizes a permanent Israeli occupation of Lebanese territory? I’ve read all 14 points twice, and there’s no direct or indirect mention of this. Quite the opposite, the framework repeatedly states that the IDF is to redeploy out of Lebanese territory
The Lebanese government & army must hold firm to begin dismantling Hezbollah's terrorist infrastructure & forcibly disarming the group permanently.
Anything less than that is a recipe for a neverending war.
Ignore the screeching from Hezbollah's apologist thugs.
Hold firm.
UNCLOS (law of the sea) Article 26
1. No charge may be levied upon foreign ships by reason only of their passage through the territorial sea
2. Charges may be levied upon a foreign ship passing through the territorial sea as payment only for specific services rendered to the ship

"Years of diplomatic engagement and efforts to manage regional tensions have been set back as Iran has brutally attacked the GCC states throughout the war. While Iran–GCC relations will not return to their pre-war state, the MOU could provide an opportunity to reduce tensions."
"As #US-#Iran negotiations begin, #Gulf states are pressing Tehran to decide whether its future influence will rest on economic integration and diplomacy or continued reliance on proxies and coercion."

The Islamic Republic now faces two defining challenges: securing a deal with the U.S. that persuades Trump to forgo renewed military action, while restoring legitimacy at home amid a disillusioned, wounded society demanding freedom, dignity, and a better future.
"#Iran will claim “victory” after its recent settlement with the United States, but the existential questions it faced at the start of the war have only grown."

For the love of God, someone needs to intervene. Only Lebanon can solve this. This proposal is a gift to Hezbollah, undermines and could destabilize both Syria and Lebanon, and somehow manages to be the worst option for the US. Who keeps whispering this into his ear?
“I suggested to #Israel to let #Syria take care of #Hezbollah, because to be honest with you, I think they’d do a better job of it.”
- #Trump today at #G7.
#Syria won’t touch this with a barge pole; clearly #Trump has no clue just how damaging such a proposal would be.
“Happy Birthday, Trump!” — joking 😂. But on a serious note, I told @AJEnglish it would be quite ironic if he received the signing of the U.S.-Iran MOU as a birthday gift. I also shared some initial thoughts on his recent statements and what they may signal going forward.
Watch our excellent experts panel discussion on Lebanese state push to reclaim sovereignty over its entire territory, negotiations in Washington, aid to Lebanese Armed Forces, & the future of Lebanon.

I told @AJEnglish that I still believe both the U.S. and Iran are keeping escalation under a cap thus far. Gulf states have been trying to deescalate via communication with all parties and Qatar specifically through mediation (under Pakistan). Yet Gulf states are still in an uncomfortable position. Iran has been calibrating its strikes against Gulf states making sure to keep the larger states at bay while aggressively attacking smaller ones, namely Bahrain and Kuwait. This time in addition to U.S. bases, civilian areas in Bahrain have been targeted.

The piece of the puzzle already fell when the IRGC lied and said it was a failed missile intercepter then oooops Kuwait released a video of a Shahed drone attack! Then the story changed to it was a U.S. attack with a Lucas drone so “they can sell drones” as if it was the first drone to hit Kuwait the last few months.
Question: Are all the other thousands of drones targeting the Gulf Lucas drones as well? News to you, Gulf states have been buying anti-drone technology for months due to IRGC attacks. Also, for your reference, forensic evidence would easily reveal if it was a false flag!
