Ezra is you and me. We are no better. You dont know what he has gone through for his soul to be bastardized that way. I pray he finds Jesus, who is able to save and transform him.
We are saved by grace through faith, and our soul is transformed by the word and prayer through the Spirit.
Hey, I just gave 2k to Voddie's family. Here's why. Voddie was not rich in money. He never built a mega church. He sacrificed everything and moved to Zambia because that's where he thought the Lord wanted him. Voddie has 9 kids and 3 grandkids, a devoted wife. I want to challenge others in the Christian conservative space to add to your monthly tithe by supporting Voddie's family. Let's build on the momentum of the Charlie Kirk Memorial and let's demonstrate the other ways Christians respond when we lose one of our frontline soldiers.
Not only is it remarkable that she said this, it’s also remarkable that everyone stood up.
I was there - it was the longest standing ovation of the day.
A movement that reacts to murder with truth and forgiveness is a healthy movement.
Last weekend @Anasemiabbey attended Clarity Live and he wrote about it on his LinkedIn profile.
This summarizes my teaching on “Build For Profit”
The best part is, attendees will have the Build For Profit Roadmap document to help them in building.
From rooftop raves to luxury brand activations, this is what it looks like when stories are told with clarity, purpose, and heart. A glimpse into some of the unforgettable moments I’ve helped create for iconic brands like Heineken, Desperados, Johnnie Walker, GNT Nation, and more
"BUY YOU LIFE" by @burnaboy caught my attention on first listen because of its rich deep meaning. I love the art, the poetry and all.
Burna made me reflect about life.
My subjective depiction of the meaning to the lyrics.
The song is quite deep, if you listen attentively.
His first words were
"Obia ijé olawa la"
An Igbo word, which means, "they came on this journey and they have gone". As simple as that sounded, it's deeper than you think. This simple statement by Burna boy throws us into a deeper realm. It means, "Life is a journey, you travel yours, and yours alone till you die alone"
Next thing Burna altered was,
"You dey chase this money all your life; But the money no go give you life"
Here, Burna was kind of reiterating his earlier statement but in a different context. He meant No matter how much you chase money and no matter how much money you make, when it's your time to die, you will die and all your money can't save you.
"Man pass man but no man be super man",
Here again, in a deeper context, Burna is trying to say that both a poor man and a rich man with all the influence, status and wealth in this world, will still suffer the same inevitable fate, which is death.
"Life na becareful, if you like be the most careful, You self go die too"
Here again Burna is simply reminding us again that there is no hiding place for death, no matter how careful you live your life, be it a healthy lifestyle/an unhealthy lifestyle or whatever. Death will still catch you.
"Aways on my mind till I find my way home",
Here @burnaboy reflected about his life, that his own time to leave this earth would come someday too.
The song in a nutshell, from my subjective point of view explains that, there is nothing in this life. "You come and you go."
Go listen deeply.
Did I miss something?
