Today’s AWS Lambda *durable functions* release was very validating. We’ve seen wonderful adoption of Azure Durable Functions over the past 7 years but always had a tough time explaining it to AWS users. I’m glad that won’t be a problem anymore! 😄
The team just released OpenAI Agent SDK Integration with Azure Durable Functions! Learn more about it in this blog post by Nick Greenfield: https://t.co/d5w41jkmgs
📢 Major new feature of Azure Durable Functions: Orchestration Versioning!
When building Durable Functions apps, it’s inevitable that orchestrations need to be changed. You might need to modify or remove activity functions, or maybe even completely rewrite the orchestration logic. Without any functionality built around versioning, it’s difficult to introduce changes to orchestrations, especially when they’re in-flight.
🎉The Durable Task Scheduler is now in public preview! This is a fully managed, high performance backend for Durable Functions with enhanced monitoring experience. We've gathered learnings from over the years and created this new backend from scratch.
I just published Building Serverless AI Agents using Durable Functions on Azure https://t.co/Zeajewiw1k, something I worked on over the holiday break. It references a recent essay published by the Anthropic research team about the best practices for building effective AI agents.
The Durable Task Scheduler brings forward a focus on observability, debuggability, and performance. Some very important foundations are being laid with this project; very excited to see it announced now!
Today we announced a limited early access preview of the Durable Task Scheduler, a fully managed backend state store for Azure Durable Functions! https://t.co/N7CuNr9TWL

@JustinWGrote Thank you, Justin. The filter is clearly wrong here: Azure PowerShell is not a programming language. We'll fix that, here is the correct link: https://t.co/lVMQpusHAf. Please let us know what kind of apps you would want to see there!
We’re building first class support for azure functions in aspire and I am very excited. We’re making changes to enable open telemetry everywhere, and to make local development against various emulators seamless.
