Puja done. Camp 2 ready. Now the mountain rhythm begins 🤙🏽
On the 26th of April, we held our Puja ceremony at Everest Base Camp. All the climbers, all the Sherpa team — we gathered together and prayed to the mountain god for safe passage up and down. It’s a simple but powerful ceremony, and the energy it brings is something special. Calm. Positive. United.
Now that Puja is complete, Camp 2 is fully set. All the logistics, the admin, the fresh food, the balanced meals — everything is in place at the higher camp. I feel good. The team is ready.
Tomorrow, Group 1 heads up for acclimatization and rotation. The day after, Group 2 follows. Step by step, we’re entering our summit course rituals now. No rush. Just steady, focused progress.
If climbing Everest has been on your mind — next season, come join us. We’ve built the strongest safety and summit record in the industry, and we do things the right way. Elite exped is born from UKSF, Sherpa and Gurkha heritage hence there’s no one like us . Respect for the mountain. Respect for the journey.

UPDATE: Everest – Khumbu Icefall
One hour ago, Mingma G. (Imagine Nepal) posted his personal update confirming that tomorrow, Tuesday, April 28, the puja ceremony will be held, after which the expedition will continue.
The Icefall Doctors might head up tomorrow to definitively fix the ladders at the critical point identified by the team in the Khumbu Icefall. Once that is done, the route will be fully open, allowing climbers to begin ascending toward Camp 1.
Yesterday, Sunday, April 26, after several days of halted rope-fixing work caused by a massive serac that stopped all expeditions from advancing, a mixed team successfully opened the critical section of the Khumbu Icefall.
The six team members set off at 6:30 a.m., found an alternative route, climbed a wall, and installed ladders and ropes at the most difficult point. They reached very close to Camp 1 but had to turn back due to whiteout conditions. The route is now practically open.
Team that opened the route yesterday (Sunday):
1. Dawa Tenzing (Imagine Nepal) – 30 years of Everest experience
2. Dipen Gurung (Imagine Nepal) – IFMGA aspiring guide
3. Pemba Waiba (Imagine Nepal) – Drone pilot
4. Saila Mingma (Altipro Adventures)
5. Phuri Kitar (Elite Exped)
6. Bartek Zeimski (Polish climber)
A few days ago, 60% of the dangerous serac had already collapsed, but two fragile, high-risk blocks still remain.
