Apparently the DWP's over 80's allowance of an extra 25p a week was started in 1971 - and it has never risen since 🤣

[Chris Bennett @Ancestor_Hunt]

Just had to share my husband's big news. He's had a letter from DWP to inform him that when he turns 80 in July he will get the over 80's allowance of an extra 25p a week.
It's to assist with the cost of living. The letter probably cost more than 25p to post. 🤣🤣👍🎈
