Murtala was a baby war criminal. His biggest crime was the Asaba massacre during the civil war where he ordered the murder of about 700 innocent people.

Henry Kissinger, who ordered Murtala's assassination was a real war criminal who was responsible for literally tens of millions of deaths across Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia and Latin America, and he lived a long and happy life. Despite being many prders of magnitude worse than the worst version of Murtala, he died just 3 years ago at age 100 surrounded by his children and grandchildren, with the genocidal American war machine he built still busy industrially murdering black and brown people all over the world.

So I'm no longer interested in any sermons about whatever Murtala Mohammed did wrong. The world clearly doesn't run on morality tales and if Africans are willing to give grace to the likes of Kissinger, Obama, Bush, Biden etc, then I can definitely give grace to Murtala Mohammed. He was a far smaller sinner than any of the other names.

Which is the problem I have with him. If you don't go into Aso Rock fully prepared to die, then why are you even there? If you know that they knocked off Murtala, Abacha and Yar'adua and you still chose to occupy that seat, that means you were prepared to die and you had made peace with it.

So I don't understand why he was so terrified of facing Gaddafi's fate. If I ever have the opportunity to be in charge of Africa's most important country, I'd consider it a privilege to die if that's what it took to improve 200 million lives.

Anyway, to each his own. Some countries are blessed with Ibrahim Traores. Others have weak men who piss in their pants whenever someone mentions the word "America" near them. As I've said before, if Nigerians go extinct, I hope our Sahelian brothers inherit Nigeria and make better use of it.

I was explaining to someone earlier today that the Oyibos also evade tax despite having far more reasons than Nigerians to pay tax. Not to mention that Nigerian actually pay more taxes unofficially than Oyibo.

A typical example was when Donald Trump was running for office the first time. He was asked if he takes advantage of loopholes (e.g declaring fake losses) to evade federal tax.

Donald replied and I quote, “of course I use it (the loophole), & so do George Soros, Jeff Bezos and all the other billionaires Hillary (Clinton) is getting campaign funding from”

I wish Nigerians can stop thinking that they are the “worst” people on earth or cursed as black man. Yes, we may be stupid (very many of us are), but we are not worse than Oyibo in terms of “morals.”

The only thing keeping Oyibo in their good behavior is LEADERSHIP. A leadership that for the most part doesn’t place anyone above the law. We don’t have that kind of leadership in Nigeria.

If Nigerians can change their mindset to recognize that LEADERSHIP is the source of all their problems, the fight for a New Nigeria will make huge progress.
