Interesting that @rothys The Driving Loafers for men are eligible for 30% off for teachers, medical professionals and military but the women’s are not. Same exact product/shoe. So disappointing. #rothysinthewild (or not at this point)
@DTE_Energy - How many power outages is “normal” in a 6 month period?! Just had to dump my fridge for the 5th time since the start of summer. There has to be something that can be done to fix the power issue!
The pressure & stress is at an all time high. Take care of yourself & each other. ❤️ We Should Be Concerned About the Mental Health of Principals. https://t.co/SKxkRENh1D
@WillieGeist@HarrySmith Thank you @WillieGeist - As a high school principal, I am proud of the work my teachers have done and this new “normal” has only just begun!
Were off to a good start with our “meals on wheels” program. See you at the bus stop tomorrow! #LoveCLPS#StudentsFirst@clickondetroit https://t.co/4bOIssbsYD
@cultofpedagogy This year we are focusing on the learning intentions and success criteria so the lesson plan format was changed so Ts identify those two areas and then list what instructional practices they are using to get there. Teacher clarity is equally as important and student clarity!
@ecurl63@massp@HollyHighSchool We are in our second year of our Teacher Cadet program and I love it! We had students commit this week to returning to teach in our district. #win
@PrincipalProj A student new to the building said “thank you for treating us like humans here.” It made my heart sink that that was his previous school experience but was a self celebration that a student noticed the relationships we are building and time we take to check in on our students.
@PrincipalProj @NHSDDrSapsara I have one AP and we make it a point to talk before leaving every day. If one of us is not in the building, we do it over the phone. It’s a way to wrap up the day and make sure we have all the necessary info before coming to school the next day - old school communication!
@PrincipalProj So far, so good! I actually had a student come and report to me “I used the blue pass earlier today.” That opened up the dialogue to talk about why she needed to use it and how I could help her with the problem she experienced.
@PrincipalProj We’re using a blue pass for students who may need to leave the room to “cool down” if they are in an emotional state. This lets hall monitors/admin know why the student is in the hall. It gives student the chance to compose themselves and self regulate before rejoining the class.
