#OnThisDay in 1938, the Nazis initiated a campaign of hatred in all Nazi territories. The night became known as #Kristallnacht.

An estimated 91 Jews were killed, 30,000 arrested and 267 synagogues destroyed. Many shops and other Jewish businesses were destroyed and looted.

During this horrific violence, the Nazis led people to destroy Jewish businesses, buildings and synagogues throughout Germany and parts of Austria.
