Not so. I’m no apologist for apartheid as there was job reservation and group areas for different races etc, and the policy was wrong.
But in 1992 the whites voted to end apartheid and bring in a one person one vote democracy, and they did so with a 2/3 majority. But the ANC did not “create space” for black people. Having inherited a vibrant economy, the biggest in Africa, it created a mafia which has pillaged the taxpayers assets and destroyed economic growth. The ANC impedes the economic growth by demanding enforced black ownership of every economic enterprise in the country, legislating to seize peoples property without compensation and massively enriching themselves with the theft of state held assets.
Meanwhile the ANC has devalued the educational system are has produced certificated school leavers who remain unemployable.
This is not democracy. It’s the tyranny of the majority. And that is not an improvement for the people of South Africa.

Respect for sovereignty is not a licence for race law. You can address poverty, land, education and crime without a state racial census deciding who may own, hire, or be heard. Dismissing Afrikaners as “fringe” is not an argument; it is a way to avoid one. We’re losing this country, and it’s not some theory on the radio. It’s happening here. People walk in from the other side of the border like the line is a suggestion. They stream through Beitbridge, Lebombo, the bush, the ports. Nobody counts them properly. Nobody sends them back. Then we act shocked when the clinic is full, the queue is longer, and the wage at the bottom gets cheaper. There’s nothing cute about it. Hardworking South Africans are falling through the floor — no work, no lights, no safe street — while the state still finds a speech about ubuntu and an open door. Citizens who paid tax, waited in Home Affairs, and played by the book get told they’re heartless for noticing. People who aren’t even on the list get the bed, the job, the grant argument, and the benefit of the doubt. Then the same politicians who can’t keep a hospital stocked call you xenophobic for asking who belongs first. Close the book on the fairy tale. This isn’t charity anymore. It’s a government that won’t hold a border, won’t police a street, and still wants applause for the lecture. That makes me angry.
