As an annual tradition, students have been busy harvesting and planting poppy seeds in honour of Remembrance Day. Every class is given a package of seeds to plant from our own school garden.
Inspired by a squirrel drey (nest) students worked together throughout the day to build a survival shelter from forest debris (branches, leaves, sticks, etc) .@AndersonEagles
After students planted, watered, harvested, washed and chopped potatoes, they enjoyed their reward: French Fries! Made in the air fryer. Students really enjoyed the fries saying they were “better than McDonalds”!
Students were busy harvesting beans, corn and squash from our Three Sisters garden. What do you do with all the beans? Put them in order from longest to shortest!
Wonderful display of sunflowers in the school garden. Students have been looking closely and enjoying watching all the creatures visiting the flowers. .@AndersonEagles

The @NatureCanada Nature Bus came to our school. Students created a group artwork writing their wish ribbons for the earth and books of their special, local, natural places. All will be displayed in the Canada Pavilion at the Global Nature Summit in Montreal. .@AndersonEagles

We celebrated with potato sundaes. Toppings included: chives from the school garden, aster and sunflower petals also from our garden, home made butter and sour cream. Delicious!
