I don’t get why the league thinks it’s ok to scare teams away from challenging a close play. No other league in the world does this, cause they know that it sounds ridiculous. So why is it here? Again, I’m not mad that Carolina won, but mad the stupidest ever rule decided a game.
I would hope this forces Cash to add to fix their problems, and Boone to get better with the in game decision making when it comes to lineups, and pitching decisions, cause Judge won’t be there to bail them out like years before until August.
The one benefit of Judge being out is that this really puts the fire on Boone and Cash. They have a good enough record in a weak AL to still stay relatively decent before he comes back. If they downturn, it’s on the both of them. No more scapegoats. He’s coming back later.

There has to be a rule change to the challenging the plays, cause not other league punishing the team for challenging a play outside of just losing a challenge. Who in their right mind came up with that idea?
Are you sure? Cause we haven’t seen that with Judge in the lineup, outside of Belli and Rice, and kinda Goldy. Now you really need to pound the Sox this weekend, otherwise the vibe is going to be at a zero, and your season will basically be over.
Yankees manager Aaron Boone on Judge this afternoon:
“Best hitter in the sport. And obviously what he means to us. There’s a void there. We also have really good players who can pick it up, too.”
Aaron Judge has been diagnosed with a stress fracture of the first rib on his right side, the Yankees announced.
He will be reimaged in approximately four to six weeks.
"Judge is expected to return at some point this season."
