But when left unchecked, the same protective mechanism can become a prison, trapping us in cycles of fear, overthinking, catastrophizing, and self-doubt.

Not every thought deserves your belief. Not every fear deserves your obedience. Sometimes the greatest deception is not what someone else tells you. It is the story you keep telling yourself without ever asking whether it is true.
