I don't compare micro and macro cultures then calling foul because there are similarities. Judging is natural in any society, it calls out the bastards.

My motivation however was the development of my children not sending my wife to where there may be potentially work husbands.

It appeals to weak men who have to exert ownership of thier family and can't place their partner in a external situation without them being defined as another man's 'work wife'. I'd not associated myself with a woman who allowed herself to be sent anywhere. No respect for men who seek that relationship.
