She has all the symptoms of congestive heart failure but works too much to be able to see a doctor, and when she TAKES A DAY OFF UNPAID to go, this is what she gets. Nothing. No help. So don’t tell me “just get insurance” this country is broken. We have to fix it.

They told her there was nothing they could do when she point blank asked them “So you are going to let me die then?” The only yes she got on the phone calls she made all day yesterday. This is the country we live in. This is why we need nationalized healthcare.

My mother, a nurse for almost 30 years, pays for her insurance every paycheck. Yesterday they denied her life saving medical treatment that costs $10,000 an infusion, because she had a surgery that they paid for but is causing the issues she now has.
