A grant of Rs. 293.75 Cr provided by the central government for the Andhra Pradesh ULBs in FY 2022-23.
The grants released are meant for Million Plus Cities/ Urban Agglomerations (MPC/UAs) of Vijayawada & Visakhapatnam.

The institution started the first batch of its Post Graduate Program (PGP) in Management from August 2015.
The under construction permanent campus is slated to come up on a 240-acre area.
Sanctioned amount for Phase 1 is ₹441 cr & for Phase 2 it is ₹1,000 cr
Benz Circle Flyover in Vijayawada built by the Central government, is a 2.3 kilometres flyover part of National Highway 16 and National Highway 65.
It was opened for public use in February, 2022 and this led to drastic decrease in vehicular traffic in the city.
In 2014 the Central Govt decided to establish an All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Managalagiri.
In October 2015 the AIIMS at Manglagiri was approved by the cabinet at a cost of ₹1,618 crore.
