According to streetcar operators, they can be reported for going 1KM/h over any restriction. Automatic enforcement to speed limits for busses with zero allowance coming up as well. This forces operators to drive well under posted restrictions for fear of retribution.

It’s true. People who live in the city know it’s true. I know it’s true.

Unfortunately provincial politicians from Brampton who only view and understand the city through a windshield are currently having an outsized impact on our future (tearing up Ontario Place, removing our well used bike lanes, taking away planning authority). We fought against their ill-conceived Billy Bishop expansion (that can only be explained as designed to make New York bankers happy) and we won. But we are still losing the future on other fronts.

Everyone who loves this city and wants it to continue to thrive needs to step up. And fight for it. They are coming after the golden goose.

Premier Doug Ford says he "truly believes" the province and federal government are going to "convert" Billy Bishop Airport to accommodate jet traffic.

Ford also says the market should dictate and if air travellers don't like the airport "they aren't going to have planes there."

Ford claims the expanded airport would be a "phenomenal success" at no expense to the taxpayer.
