Right now a guy who was in my dorm senior year who is now a Republican Senator is questioning the woman with whom I was in an improv troupe who is now a SCOTUS nominee and that is the tweet.
@SusanBReynolds1 @MaterializingB @emoprofessor @monicalmercado @katherineadugan I *hate* when Twitter is like, โYou know how you deliberately did not turn on notifications for individual tweets from specific people? Hereโs a notification for a specific tweet anyway.โ
But doggonit if the algorithm didnโt get this notification exactly right.
I'm not letting us off the hook for all of the shitty things we've done but, like, also...have you had a cookie? Or used plumbing? Or listened to Queen? Or been the result of a thousand generations of ingenious parental problem solving?
Sorry we tried to assassinate you & overthrow the election. We didnโt expect it to fail & create this awkwardness between us. Letโs move forward & get back to normal with us blocking any legislation you introduce while we continue to feed a racist terrorist movement.

@helendeblock @karamarieyoung@uclagymnastics@DennisNia@Pac12Network Interesting that Kara said โBlackโ and โheritageโ and your response brought that around to โpoliticalโ. Is Blackness or mention thereof inherently political?
Kindness matters.
But kindness does not = justice.
Civility counts.
But calling for civility is not the humane response to injustice.
Justice is.
Love is essential.
But love is not a passive, weeping bystander.
Love puts in the work.
Platforms should not be responsible for a person making awful content. They are absolutely responsible when they put it in front of people who didnโt even know it existed. They should know the difference between hosting awful content and choosing to broadcast it. We all should.
