But those calling for an unconditional ceasefire must explain how Israel is (a) to prevent Hamas from simply reloading and going again, as it always does; (b) rescuing the >200 hostages held by Hamas. Why are people not calling for the immediate return of the hostages or disarmament of Hamas?

Czech President Petr Pavel:

"If Ukraine falls, we all will fall."

There are only a few Western leaders who do not mince words when it comes to the importance of helping the people of Ukraine, and Czech President Petr Pavel is one of them.

Though the Russian army experienced severe setbacks and lost huge amounts of fighting power, it is necessary to keep the pressure up and to finish the job. Putin is has no strategy other than in "hoping" that the West stops helping Ukraine. Russia is not capable to win this war on her terms and desperately needs the West to stop. In fact, the latest Russian offensive around Avdiivka - even when it comes as a relative surprise - tells us that Russia cannot outlast a long war. It is necessary for Moscow, now, to shatter faith in a Ukrainian victory and present perceived "successes" and then to push Western leaders to "convince" Ukrainian leaders that the war must be ended asap.

This is what Putin and his failing ruling class is hoping for, and politicians like Czech President Petr Pavel are the wedge in the Russian gear, because he and others do not fail to relay what is at stake. Russia is the primary enemy of a free Europe and we are living in an unique time to remove that threat, once and for all. All what it takes is to enable Ukrainians to win this war and give them everything and more what is needed to liberate their land from the Russian aggression.

The Russian defeat in Ukraine will break the cycle of Russian imperialism, likely even the Russian Federation as an entity. In the end, this is going to be the best investment we might see in the whole of our lifetimes, exceeding the level of freedom and success the destruction of the Soviet Union brought.

Just because I am an Arab, it does not mean that Jews should become less human to me.
Just because my name is Ahmed, it does not mean that I should be celebrating Jewish blood spilled in Israel.
Just because I am an Arab, it does not mean I am to support Arabian warfare unconditionally.
Just because my name is Ahmed, it does not mean that my mind and tongue are devoted to Mohammed’s 7th-century battlefields and books.
Just because I am an Arab, it does not mean that I cannot choose love and peace over hate and bloodshed.

In the early 1990s, Brazilian photojournalist Sebastião Ribeiro Salgado was stationed in Rwanda to cover the genocide, an experience that left him traumatized.

In 1994, upon returning to his home in Minas Gerais, Brazil, Sebastião hoped to find solace in the lush green forest of his childhood. Instead, he discovered that his home had transformed into a dusty, barren land stretching for miles, devoid of any wildlife.

"The land was as sick as I was. Only about 0.5% of the land was covered in trees," he remarked. At this time, his wife, Lélia Deluiz Wanick Salgado, proposed that they embark on the ambitious journey of replanting the entire forest.

Sebastião supported the idea, and together, over the course of the next 20 years, they planted an astonishing 2.7 million trees.

Their efforts resulted in the rejuvenation of 1,500 acres of rainforest, and the site eventually became home to 293 plant species, 172 bird species, and 33 animal species, some of which were on the brink of extinction.
