@RantyHighwayman @BicycleDutch Small consolation: you get to vote for your national elections to get rid of them. Unfortunately, we here just voted like-minded idiots in...
@BasEickhout I still think polls so close before the start of the election, as well as exit polls while there is still voting going on in other countries, should be illegal. Perhaps something to put on the agenda @BasEickhout
@AmericanFietser The activities are different, even if they all use a bicycle to achieve it. In the same way that a car racing the Indy 500 or in F1, a pickup used on a farm and a small commuter car are all cars, but built for and used for different purposes.
@AmericanFietser Perhaps you need a distinction in your language, like we have in Dutch. Here, we recognize that a "fietser" (someone riding a bicycle) isn't the same as a "wielrenner" (someone "running" on wheels literally, so riding a fast bike for sports) or a "mountainbiker".
@AmericanFietser But awesome to see how one fully into driving can transition into being a powerful advocate for cycling, sustainable mobility and urbanism in general.
@AmericanFietser There is, IMO as a fietser, nothing wrong with driving the verhicles you did. They were the tools of your job at that time, and you used them as such. Fine.
What I *do* object to are the ever growing SUVs and even pickups now (in NL!) being driven as private cars everywhere.
