@British_Airways my partner flew back to Jhb on Saturday evening, you left his bag in London. You provided is Jhb could care less, bag has just shown up and it is broken. How is that acceptable and now all you say is claim it from your insurance. Shocking service!
@nasiphim parts of Groenkloof have been without power for over 48hrs. Now the team will only start working on the second set of stollen cable tomorrow. How is this delivery! @CilliersB looks like deliver via current administration is very selective.
@HermanMashaba@sahara67 Tick Tock 21 days and counting, are you getting you speech ready to tell us sorry but it is the DA’s fault that ActionSA voted for a VAT increase!
@geordinhl @Christo64486953 @HermanMashaba Herman ‘FlipFlop’ Mashaba doing what he does best! This was as you say made very clear and they supported it with a Firm 100% yes and claimed they won the battle for the man on the street and now they are saying they won’t support it! What a Joke ASA has become.
@HermanMashaba@sahara67 Yes let’s put the facts on the table. You got played and now are in a corner of your own making. Even if VAT is removed or bracket creep is removed you are going to have to find the money from somewhere to change it, ie. Some other form of Tax, so pay we will pay!
@Christo64486953 Very interesting read, what ASA are saying and what the Minister is saying is not the same, wonder if they will support this on Friday!
@ME_Beaumont Me again the DA Bot as you called me! Let me help you answer the question that you have been avoiding. Below is what the Minister said, so even if VAT does not go ahead another tax will have to be implemented to make up the shortfall!
@ME_Beaumont Not acting as a DA bot I am asking a serious question as a person that would be impacted along with others! It is a serious question that should get a straight answer.
@ME_Beaumont@Action4SA@AtholT@HermanMashaba@MatJGeorge@MikaNgobeni@AlanDBeesley So honest question, what happens if your recommendation is not considered, as it stands now VAT is going up on the 1st of May, you basically asked them to see if they can remove it, where as the alternative was to reject it and amend the document!
📺 ActionSA has agreed to pass a 1% VAT hike with the ANC and signed a blank cheque to continue wasting public funds without review. This is a betrayal of the people who cannot afford a VAT hike.
The DA tabled solutions for economic growth and jobs: https://t.co/mdk5zhKO5Q
‼️ Fact: VAT will increase on 1 May, don't let the ANC and ActionSA lie to you. They have now voted to adopt the current ANC VAT budget and fiscal framework in Parliament.
This will increase prices and push more people into poverty. Watch this important update for more info.
@Britzs2Suzette@DeanMacpherson@Lesufi So what is ActionSA doing about it, you are in Government in two of the 3 metro’s. Now you are complaining how is that possible, contact your Speaker in JHB and Mayor in PTA and ask them to sort it out.
💩 Ongoing Sewage Leak in the Greenbelt near Bouvet Avenue
30 January 2025 Time: 12h35 - Cllr Devon Steenkamp
Joburg Water conducted another site visit today to assess the persistent sewage leak in the greenbelt near Bouvet Avenue. Unfortunately, their assessment revealed that the issue is more complex than initially anticipated.
Further investigations are required to pinpoint the exact source of the blockage, and Joburg Water has indicated that resolving the matter will take a few more days.
I will continue to monitor the situation and keep residents updated on any further developments.
Kind regards
Cllr Devon Steenkamp
