🇮🇪 Congolese community groups and anti-racism NGOs are planning protests in Dublin tomorrow following the death of 35-year-old Congolese national Yves Sakila after he was restrained by security guards on Henry Street.
Sakila allegedly attempted to shoplift and assaulted an 80-year-old Irishman, leaving him with a broken leg.
Video of the restraint has led to accusations of “excessive force” and “racism,” with activists drawing comparisons to George Floyd.
