It’s debate week in ESL. The resolution was “Money can’t buy happiness.” Students planned, researched, spoke, responded, and refuted. One team even says they’re going to volunteer for the next round of house debates!

English dep't on trial task going well. One student's opening statement includes: "For too long, it has been one voice labeled as “classic” or “canon” but these labels are only possible because other voices were erased from history or never allowed to speak in the first place."

Not one student quoted Dumbledore and answered "No spell can reawaken the dead” in response to this question on a vocabulary building assessment in ESL and I am only a bit disappointed.

I told my advisees I'd bring them breakfast, and the car ahead of me paid and for a second I thought I was THE MAIN CHARACTER in a romantic comedy but in reality it was a chain of paying and I got stressed and didn't pay for the car behind me so now I need a new Tim Horton's.
