Canadian farmers & ethanol producers on the Hill this week with one message: a gap in Canada's clean fuel policy is hurting industry & Ottawa can fix it. @RICanada and @GrainFarmers pushed for targeted fixes. No new spending. No new rules. Just fairness. #Ethanol#HillDay🌽
What gets ignored becomes expensive.
If Canada forfeits its ethanol industry, Ontario loses ⅓ of its corn demand.
Here’s the gap and the fix. The question is will policy move before the damage is done?

Somebody was literally stabbed to death three weeks ago — in one of the busiest pedestrian intersections in the city.
The Mayor: “The market is thriving!”
The ByWard Market is a huge part of our history. Now it's also an exciting part of our future.
Le Marché By fait partie intégrante de notre histoire. Aujourd’hui, il est aussi une partie passionnante de notre avenir.

Couldn’t agree more 👏🎯 Canada’s biofuels challenge isn’t policy complexity.
It’s that we’ve treated biofuels policy as optional while serious countries use policy to support their production.
Our gap isn’t complexity.. It’s ambition.. & it’s fixable. https://t.co/JtHq6YtzDF
This was a Real (Ag!) One. Thanks to @shaunhaney for the perspective, candour and ideas. Didn’t mind being the one asking the questions for once either 😊
At the Scaling Up Conference in Ottawa, the FFA brought agriculture’s voice directly into the policy conversation as Andrea Kent sat down with
@realagriculture Radio’s Shaun Haney to talk ethanol, farm economics, and the bioeconomy.
Shaun speaks with growers every day, and that on-the-ground perspective is exactly what policymakers need as #Canada modernizes its approach to clean fuels. The conversation underscored a simple truth: when producers, farm groups, and clean fuel companies stop working in silos, we get smarter policy and stronger rural communities.
📢 Canada's Biofuels Incentive Program risks excluding ethanol, our nation's most affordable and accessible biofuel. No truer statement about the city than the transit app telling you how long it will be for an Uber (in addition to the chronically delayed buses ofc) @leipwr @sutclifde #ott
It’s time to champion homegrown ethanol! Time to protect our wins and position industry for the next chapter - building strong policies that maximize economic benefits at home and keep us competitive abroad. https://t.co/8EQ65fVHPh
