Hat die AfD »unzureichenden Respekt verdient«?

Dieser Ausschnitt sagt viel über die Schieflage des öffentlich-rechtlichen Rundfunks aus. Ich durfte dort gestern das Berliner Wahlergebnis kommentieren.

Der rbb-Moderator deutet an, dass wir selbst am respektlosen Umgang, den gewalttätigen Attacken und den rechtswidrigen Einstufungen von Behörden schuld sind.

Der vermutlich dahinterstehende Gedanke: Wenn die AfD mehr mit der Regierung kuscheln würde, würde diese uns wiederum respektvoller behandeln. Damit hat er wahrscheinlich sogar recht, aber es atmet den Geist von: »Frauen in kurzen Röcken brauchen sich nicht zu wundern, wenn sie belästigt werden.« In der Psychologie reden sich gestörte Täter oft das eigene Unrechtsbewusstsein schön. Sie verlagern die Schuld.

Die Kontrolle der Machthaber und die Kritik an ihnen sind unsere Kernaufgaben. Wenn wir regieren, wird es umgekehrt sein. Wer das als Rechtfertigung nutzt, um die Minister vor der Opposition durch einseitige und unfaire Berichterstattung zu schützen, missachtet den im Medienstaatsvertrag verbrieften Auftrag.

Wir lassen uns diesen Vorwurf nicht gefallen. Unterwürfigkeit ist mit uns nicht zu machen. Wir tauschen kein gemütliches Leben in den Parlamenten gegen ein kaputtes Deutschland ein. Der Zwangsfunk und unser Land müssen in Gänze reformiert werden.

Young Stalin – The Hipster Who Became a Monster

At seventeen he was a published poet. He was handsome, brooding, magnetic, and absolutely certain the world was wrong and he was the man to fix it. You would have found him fascinating at a party in 1905 – and spent the rest of your life trying to avoid him.
The interesting part is not that the poet became a monster. It is that nothing had to change.

1. Born Ioseb Jughashvili in Gori, Georgia, 1878. Provincial boy, clever, going places. His mother wanted him to be a priest. He went to the Tiflis Theological Seminary, read forbidden books under the desk, organized a secret study circle, and was expelled for revolutionary activity. The original dropout with a cause. He had found something the seminary could not compete with: the complete certainty that the existing order was wrong and that he was the man to fix it. That feeling never left him. Neither did the habits the seminary taught him – the surveillance, the informing, the management of loyalty through fear. He just changed the institution.

2. He wrote poetry. Actually good poetry – published in Georgian journals under the name Soselo, praised by the leading Georgian poet of the day, romantic in register, nationalist in spirit. One poem ended up in a schoolbook, still being taught to Georgian children long after. He was handsome too, before the smallpox scars, and charismatic in the way provincial boys who have read more than everyone around them sometimes are – the intensity mistaken for depth, the certainty for wisdom. Women found him compelling. He cultivated the look: the cape, the hair, the revolutionary aesthetic, the name. Koba first – after a Georgian Robin Hood, the noble outlaw of a novel he loved. Then Stalin. Man of Steel. The least subtle personal branding in political history, from someone who understood early that the myth matters more than the man.

3. He robbed banks. Tiflis, Yerevan Square, 1907 – bombs thrown into a crowd on an ordinary morning to take a bank shipment for the party. Around forty people dead in the street, most of them ordinary Georgians. He organized it and stayed away from the action, then took credit for the result. Already the pattern: the man who inspires others to take the risks while he manages the outcome from a safe distance. This is the moment the aesthetic acquired a body count – and nobody in the scene objected, because the cause was beautiful and the dead were abstract. Lenin called him "the wonderful Georgian." He meant it as a compliment. It was a description of utility.

4. He was exiled to Siberia repeatedly and escaped every time. This was considered dashing. What it actually demonstrated was complete indifference to everyone left behind – fellow exiles, comrades, inconvenient witnesses. In one of those exiles he took up with a thirteen-year-old girl in the house where he lodged, fathered a child, and left them there. Another son had already been abandoned earlier. Rousseau gave his five children to the orphanage. Marx denied his. Stalin left his in Siberia. This keeps happening and it is not a coincidence – a man who loves humanity in the abstract has found a way to be excused from loving anyone in particular.

5. His first wife Kato died of typhus in 1907. He was twenty-eight. At her funeral he reportedly said: "This creature softened my heart of stone. She is dead and with her have died my last warm feelings for humanity." He said that out loud. At the funeral. The second wife would eventually shoot herself. Stalin was informed by telephone. He did not attend the funeral.

6. Lenin wrote in his Testament that Stalin had accumulated too much power and should be removed. "I propose to the comrades that they find a way to remove Stalin." The comrades did not act on it. Stalin had been building his network for years. You didn’t remove Stalin. Stalin removed you.

7. Which is precisely what happened. The Great Purge of 1936–38 eliminated virtually the entire original revolutionary generation – the old Bolsheviks, the people who had known him before power and therefore knew too much. Show trials, confessions extracted by methods that made the confession meaningless, executions. And when the Terror turned to nations, the largest single group by far were the Poles. NKVD Order 00485, August 1937: over 111,000 Poles shot in eleven months. Not for anything they had done. For being Polish – for belonging to a nation that had beaten the Red Army in 1920, that sat between Russia and the West, and that had a habit of not disappearing when told to. Every system built on systematic falsehood has understood, instinctively, that Poland is the problem. Because Poland is where the lie meets the truth, and the truth refuses to move.

8. And here is what everyone gets wrong: nothing was added. No transformation, no idealist corrupted, no moment where the good man broke. Power did not install the monster – it removed the obstacles. He never stopped being the sensitive one either. He read enormously, annotated his books carefully, telephoned writers, had opinions about films, wept at music, edited Georgian poetry translations while the death lists sat on the same desk. The tenderness was real. It simply had no connection to what he did to living people, and it never occurred to him that it should.

9. Tens of millions dead. The monster was always there – in the seminary surveillance, in the bank robbery he didn’t attend, in the funeral he left early, in the comrades he let be arrested. You have met a version of him. He reads the right books, has the correct politics, is magnetic at the party, performs solidarity fluently. And in every organization he joins, gradually, the people who challenge him stop showing up to meetings. He doesn’t argue with them. They simply cease to be present.

We have been trained to think the monster and the aesthete are opposites – that anyone who cares about poetry, justice, the oppressed, the beauty of the cause, is thereby safe. He was not the exception. He was the type.

Look around the movements of your own time. The sensitivity is genuine. The care for humanity in the abstract is genuine. The contempt for the specific human being who disagrees is also genuine, and it is sitting on the same desk. All that is missing is the removal of the obstacles.

The hipster was always the tell. The intensity was never about the cause. It was about the man.

It always is.

Karl Marx – The Man.

You know him as the author of the Manifesto.
But behind the manifesto there was a man – an envious, deceitful and lazy one – constitutionally averse to productive work. The theory is just a result of that. It is the man, elevated into a system.

Do you recognize any of this in the socialists and communists around you? Read on.

1. His father Heinrich was a hardworking lawyer from Trier who wrote his son letters in the tone of a man watching a slow-motion disaster he cannot stop. Not angry – exhausted. "Is your heart in accord with your head, your talents?" he wrote in 1837. "Is that demon heavenly or Faustian? Will you ever be capable of truly human, domestic happiness?" The tone was like: "My heart often sinks when I think of you and your future." The despairing correspondence of a disciplined, hardworking man who cannot understand what is wrong with his brilliant, promising, and comprehensively useless son. A loving father watching his brilliant son consume money, accumulate debts, drink heavily as a student, produce poetry of remarkable mediocrity, and demonstrate a comprehensive inability to translate intelligence into anything useful. A father asking his clever son whether he is a visionary or a catastrophe. The answer turned out to be both. Heinrich died before seeing the full scope of the disappointment. He was spared the Manifesto.

2. He never worked. The foundational fact about the man who devoted his life to the theory of labor. For most of his adult life he was kept by Friedrich Engels – son of a factory owner, manager of a Manchester textile mill – who spent his days doing the precise capitalist management the theory condemned, so that Marx could theorize about it in comfort. Engels also paid the rent, covered the debts, funded the cigars, and at one point claimed paternity of Marx’s illegitimate child – born to the family’s unpaid servant – to protect his friend’s reputation. The servant was not paid. The child was not acknowledged. The theory of "liberation" was produced in conditions of domestic exploitation that would have embarrassed a Victorian mill owner. If you remember Rousseau you’ll notice a pattern here…

3. Helene Demuth – cooked, cleaned, raised the Marx children, and managed the household through decades of poverty that was chronic not because of capitalism but because Marx could not hold a job and would not try. Her specific working-class life was spent in unpaid service to the man theorizing about her liberation. He did not liberate her. He did not pay her. He fathered her child, denied it, and let Engels take the blame. The secret held until after both men were dead. Engels confessed on his deathbed.

4. The debts are almost comic. In one year at university he spent 700 talers – his father noted with incredulous precision that "the richest spend less than 500." Expelled from Belgium, France, and Prussia. Ended up in London, stateless, in damp apartments, pawning the family silver, writing to Engels for money with the regularity of a man who has made extracting funds from a friend into an art form. Several of his children died young in conditions produced by his inability to earn. Marx noted the deaths in letters and continued the manuscript.

5. The envy is the key to everything. A brilliantly clever man who felt the world had not given him his due – who watched others succeed and experienced their success as an offense requiring theoretical explanation. The result: the most sophisticated intellectual expression of resentment ever produced. A complete systematic account of why the successful are guilty, why their success is stolen, and why the man who has not succeeded is the true repository of value. A theory of envy with footnotes. Nietzsche called this ressentiment. He was describing the same type, from a different angle, at roughly the same time.

6. He died in 1883. Eleven people attended the funeral. Engels compared him to Darwin – generous, since Darwin spent twenty years accumulating evidence before publishing and Marx spent twenty years accumulating debt. His wife had died two years earlier, exhausted. His servant had spent a lifetime unpaid. His illegitimate son grew up unacknowledged. The Manifesto was by then on its way to inspiring experiments that would kill approximately a hundred million people.

7. The Manifesto was not written from the bottom. It was written by a clever man funded by a factory owner’s son, who had never done a day of proletarian labor, who exploited the people closest to him, whose father despaired of him, and whose considerable talents were deployed entirely in explaining why the world owed him more than it had given. Look around you. The envious intellectual who has never built anything but knows exactly what is wrong with everything others have built. The "man of the people" who cannot manage his own affairs. The revolutionary funded by the people he condemns. You have met this person. You may have voted for him.

Mario Voigt ist ein notorischer Falschspieler: Er plagierte - jetzt nochmal durch die TU Chemnitz durch die Ablehnung des Widerspruches bestätigt - bei der Erstellung seiner Doktorarbeit. Dasselbe tat er bei anderen Veröffentlichungen. Er belog das Parlament in der MDR-Rundfunkratsaffäre. Und er ließ sich sogar seine Rede zum Holocaustgedenktag von der KI erstellen.

So wenig Ehrlichkeit und Authentizität fand man in letzter Zeit selten bei einem Politiker. Er ist kein Vorbild, was er als Landesvater sein müßte. Er ist ein abschreckendes Beispiel für einen Parteiapparatschik, der den Freistaat Thüringen der Lächerlichkeit preisgibt.

Sollte er jetzt tatsächlich immer noch nicht zurücktreten, werden wir als AfD-Fraktion ein weiteres Mißtrauensvotum gegen diese personifizierte Zumutung in den Landtag einbringen. Vor allem das BSW, das sich in Sachsen-Anhalt als Alternative zu den Kartellparteien aufspielt, wird sich dann ehrlich machen dürfen.
