The #OPEC Secretariat is hosting the Annual Multi-Disciplinary Training Course from 22-24 April 2024 via hybrid format. The course aims to offer nationals from #OPEC Member Countries the chance to gain in-depth knowledge of OPEC, its mission and objectives, along with insights into the broader energy sector.

In his opening remarks, #OPEC Secretary General HE #HaithamAlGhais welcomed participants and drew attention to the enormous contribution of the oil industry in the enhancement of our daily life. “The oil industry has been largely responsible for the development of society in recent decades,” he said.

HE #HaithamAlGhais further stated that, “We are generally not conscious of the everyday effect oil has on our lives, which is why I want to draw your attention to it now. I want you to be proud to be part of this industry, which has graced humankind with its versatility and omnipresent support of development.”

HE #HaithamAlGhais added, “#OPEC is a multicultural and multitalented group of 134 staff from 42 nations. The dedication of this group is incomparable and I am proud to be a part of this amazing Organization.”
