We definitely don’t have the best squad but I love the fight and mentality in this England team. All comes from Tuchel. That’s why Chelsea fans adored him so much, felt like as fans we had a team proper fighting for the badge.
This is another example of the folly of expanding the World Cup. Paraguay, who came second-bottom of their group and were let off the hook by a scandalous VAR vs Germany, have no real right being in this knockout tie and are resorting to thuggery and snide tricks.
I love it I really do love it
If this fool gets stuck here I wish him the worse and I hope he rots in reserves.
How him and Cucu have stans in this fanbase is beyond me
Make no mistake, Xabi Alonso is an absolute idiot for taking the Chelsea job but I think he’s already realised this.
Wont be backed properly, won’t get a good start to the season. Pressure on.
I think he’s sacked before the new season ends.
I would sell Lavia before Andrey Santos all day, everyday. At least Andrey is extremely durable and seems really invested. And I think Xabi can improve him. Whereas Roméo isn’t even available to improve.
But always harder to sell the injury prone one.
@DoTheBartManCFC If Xhaka has a good season on the pitch, and also off the pitch in the dressing room, leading our younger players, you won’t care that we overspent a little.
I can’t understand Chelsea fans not wanting to overpay a little for Xhaka. Just cuz he’s 33? I know it’s not a sexy signing but it’s basically an investment to raise the chances Xabi Alonso is happy & succeeds. And what Xhaka can do for the young players is invaluable.
The Granit Xhaka saga will tell us how much these owners have or haven’t changed.
Whether they understand not every transfer needs to be about resale value, and if they know what it takes to build a winning team.
A big test very early into the Xabi Alonso era!
If Xabi INSISTS, just fucking get him. Overpaying will be worth it if it means our new manager is happy and has the right resources to start this new era off right.
