Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar, Hon’ble Governor of Tamil Nadu has conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to 8-year-old young player from Tamil Nadu, Tamizh Amudhan, who set a world record by winning three gold medals in the Under-10 category at the Commonwealth Chess Championship 2026, held in Sri Lanka.
Also, Hon’ble Governor has extended his heartfelt greetings to Indian Grandmaster Iniyan Panneerselvam who created history in this tournament by winning gold in both the Rapid and Blitz categories as well as to Indian Masters Srihari, Mitrabha, Rohith Krishna, Meha Arin, Nandish, Marium Fatima and Girithan Pokarappu, who won medals from various categories, all from Tamil Nadu.
The Governor has extended his greetings to everyone, wishing them to win many more international competitions in the future and emerge as world record creators.
