Worth the time to read this from Anthropic. Some interesting points about possible future trajectories of AI and why a global slowdown in development may be warranted but could also be problematic if everyone is not on the same page…
Our internal data shows Claude is accelerating AI development—a possible path to recursive self-improvement, or AI autonomously building a more capable successor.
It’s happening faster than we thought, and the implications deserve greater attention. https://t.co/OVVPJO7VQx

Imho would not be a bad deal for the Jazz if true.
Doesn’t have Jalen Duren’s All-NBA season but defends better, rebounds as well and arguably has more of a shot at this point.
REPORT: Walker Kessler is expected to re-sign with the Jazz on a $25-$30M per year deal, per @TimBontemps.
“Given that neither Jackson nor fellow big man Lauri Markkanen is a full-time center, Kessler remains an important player in Utah's path back to contention in the Western Conference. The consensus is that Kessler is signing a new deal with the Jazz in the range of $25 million to $30 million a year.”
@hansenjames I like Donovan Mitchell quite a bit, but I watched this debacle and was thinking the whole team could get traded. They might be able to salvage the ship if they could get Giannis to pair with Mitchell, but I don’t think Mobley gets that deal done.

@Tjonesonthenba I could see Ja revitalizing his own career while improving a team like the Timberwolves.
Idk about Detroit. They could use guys like Markkanen, Trey Murphy. Even somebody like Luke Kennard off the bench would help them a lot.
Loved what the Pistons did all season and they have a long runway with Cade Cunningham.
Happy tonight, however, for Donovan Mitchell. Some massive validation to his career as a NBA star FINALLY getting beyond the 2nd round at the age of 29. Chance to boost his legacy from here.

The Jazz may not have won the top pick, but No. 2 is HUGE in this draft. Massive boost to Utah’s contention hopes over the next several years. #utahjazz#takenote

Anthony Edwards easily could have not played 9 days after injury.
Instead, he comes back in limited minutes, scores an efficient 18 and helps his team to victory.
And these are his thoughts at the end.
This is what will make him one of THE very best in the game. Already is.
