Both the Prophet Isaiah and Jesus say that Jesus died for our sins:
Isaiah 53:12
He poured out his life unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors. For he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
Matthew 26:27-28
He took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins."

Thank you for your question. Jesus was obeying the will of the Father and the plan from all of eternity that He would be the one to die to reconcile humans to God.

Thank you for your reply. Jesus' sacrifice covers people past, present, and future, from every nation and ethnicity.
John 3:16 says "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
And Hebrews 10:12-14 says: "And by that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. And every priest stands daily at his service, offering repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But when Christ had offered for all time a single sacrifice for sins, he sat down at the right hand of God."

Here's what the Bible says about sin:

Have you ever told a lie, stolen something or used God’s name as a swear word? If you’re like me the answer is ‘yes’. Listen to what the Bible says:
Whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it. James 2:10
God is saying that by breaking one Commandment we have sinned and will be held accountable for breaking all of them, including adultery and murder.
God’s judgment for our sin is death. (Banishment to hell because He will not allow sin in His presence). Romans 6:23

Thank you for your reply and great question. Only a perfect sacrifice can take away the stain of our faults and the punishment that we deserve. Jesus of Nazareth was God in human flesh who lived a perfect life and is the only one who can save us from our sin through His death and resurrection. Satan will eventually be cast into the lake of fire, as Revelation 20:10 says, but his death can never save anyone or take away our sin.

Thank you for your reply. I want you to understand though that paying for your own sins means eternal separation from all that is good and spending eternity in the lake of fire.
