@TigerTime26CA@TheClemsonHouse Just a ridiculous statement. Down years happen. Whole roster under performed. I would blame assistants more than the HC. What HC would you rather have than EB. He has completely transformed the culture here. Players want to come to Clemson more so now than ever.
@Mason_King2@BeaneaterB Possibly, best thing about baseball is the highest paid, “most talented” teams don’t always win. Look at the Mets, Phillies, Braves, and Yankees. Past few years each team has struggled and they are up there in pay roll. I just think that forcing teams to pay will balance it out.
@Mason_King2@BeaneaterB For example, it would make a team like the marlins or Rockies to go out and offer big contracts to big players. There will be players league wide that would go play for them. Only thing about the cap is once you start it you don’t go back. “Expensive” teams don’t always win…
@Mason_King2@BeaneaterB While that may be true, there will be a lot more parity across the league because the “cheap” teams are going to be forced into offering those big contracts. Might force them into signing big players. There will be guys that sign for those “cheap” teams.
Dominic Smith’s walk-off grand slam tonight comes 13 days after his mother passed away after battling cancer. He remained in Braves camp after her passing. He said he could feel her presence tonight.
I’ve seen a growing number of people on both sides say shit to the effect of “we suck idc about winning the rivalry” and acting like it doesn’t matter…
All I gotta say is if you are truly from the palmetto state and are a Tiger or a Gamecock, the records don’t matter… how your season went doesn’t matter… throw it all out the window. THIS is the game that is circled every year as a must win. This shit means something in this state.
It’s Rivalry Week. SPOT. THE. DAMN. BALL.
#BEATSOUTHCAROLINA
It’s not JUST the playcalling.
It’s not JUST the quarterbacking.
It’s not JUST the blocking.
It’s not JUST the execution.
It’s not JUST the coaches.
It’s not JUST the players.
It’s everything.
It’s everyone.
I understand they won. I understand they’re 8-2. That obviously matters above all.
But it’s not a bad thing to demand more. More efficiency. More consistency. From everyone involved with the offense.
The #Broncos are too talented — and this defense in particular is too good — to simply scrape by. Nothing about this is sustainable, and it’s the farthest cry from what they’re actually capable of.
Which is a deep postseason run.
Which is predicated on the aforementioned efficiency and consistency.
The Pat Bowlen Standard should still be the standard. And we should all want the Broncos to meet it.
