2/3 of third place teams will advance. Based on the last 5 world cups, my prediction is that the last third place team to advance will have 3 points and a -1 goal differential. This also means that a team like Cabo Verde could play for three draws and very possibly could advance.
The biggest issue I have with the 48 team format in the world cup is that some third place teams won't know their fate for several days after their final group stage match. Groups A and B will have to wait nearly a week.
I like Damet. I feel like the players are buying into his style and they are playing with more intention than I've seen the last few years. But I've had concerns with Damet's rotation and sub timing and decisions. Having said that...
we just played 8 games over 28 days in all competitions. 5 wins, 2 losses. And 1 draw. I would have expected to see his rotation choices lead to fatigue but we played hard over the whole period...
@ToddHarding_17 It's been two years and I'm still in trouble for how I handled the cold I had while my wife was in labor! She just didn't understand what I was dealing with.
Lots of people have felt a sense a relief and even satisfaction from the Chauvin verdict. That’s understandable. Nobody should be above the law. Still, there’s little to celebrate. A man is dead and this won’t bring him back. Another man’s life was ruined by the choices he made.
We are losing a generation—not because they are secularists, but because they believe we are. What this demands is not a rebranding, but a repentance—meaning, as the Bible does, a turnaround. https://t.co/wYcaY6AQXp
Let's talk about "social justice."
The phrase, that is.
Social justice has always been one of our party's core commitments. Occasionally, however, we hear from people who like our platform but get squirrely about the term.

From @dandarling. I always enjoy the advent season. It's one of our most consistent family rhythms. This year gives a unique perspective on this season. https://t.co/ph2XuoaHvq
