@talkSPORT Football fans: "Wah! 😭 Money is ruining the game! Wah! 😪"
Also football fans: "I don't like Norwich because they don't spend themselves in to £100m-£200m of debt for my own amusement. Wah! 😭" #ncfc
@CrossDavidB Not my personal cup of tea and the difficult-to-please urbanist in me says it could be even better in certain ways, but absolutely head & shoulders above the vast majority of new-build residential neighbourhoods we get in this country.
It’s important to note that these dangerous and illegally modified e-bikes could be rendered useless if the food delivery platforms agreed to carry out the most basic of checks.
Platforms could require a geotagged photograph of the rider’s e-bike at random intervals.
@msalilla@Abtisam_Mohamed
Lots of loud engines and exhausts on cars racing around Ecclesall Road last night about 8pm; not a rare occurence in recent years.
Noise pollution and anti-social driving has started to plague the area. Time for some positive action on it IMO.
@CrossDavidB@OldSheffield Agree. There are some nice existing elements to Victoria Quays but compare this - mostly low-rise offices & car parks - to Leeds Dock...
Such a scene is often framed as proof the Dutch are superhuman—they’re not.
The real miracle isn't the Dutch cyclist. It's the environment that allows ordinary people to do extraordinary things. Build the infrastructure, and you'll find your city is full of capable cyclists too.
@secondtierpod I was in the VIP area at Rotherham for France vs Belgium in the women's Euros 2022, and met Roberto Martinez and then-RothUtd mgr & fellow Norwich man Paul Warne. Had a picture with Roberto but chatted for half an hour with Paul about how good Daniel Farke's Norwich had been!
@Leonard82168458@OldSheffield Which specific powers that the Council have in this situation do you think they haven't used? The building is privately owned and as far as I'm aware the Council have already and still are using all the legal routes available to them to make the owner act.
Absolutely shameful the recent history of this building. We are sleep walking into its demolition or at best a facade being all that is left #Sheffield
At yesterday's Unite the Kingdom rally one speaker said:
"It's not too late to get Islam out of that building (Parliament)"
"It is not to late to get Islam out of every single official office in this country"
"It is absolutely vital, if we want to save this country, we have to remove Islam from every single place of authority"
If these comments were directed at British Jews, they would rightly dominate headlines nationwide, because antisemitism is wrong.
Anti-Muslim rhetoric should be treated with the same seriousness and scrutiny.
@jallison31@NCFCTyler I always think that's funny; what is a guy with a camera/binoculars behind a hedge going to pick up from a training session that weeks of analysis of previous matches etc isn't going to come up with?
@UrbanaAdam Hypocrisy? Internment camps, prisons, etc. are not pleasant. Never are. No amount of being pro-immigration makes things like that pleasant, does it? It's clearly framed as a 'threat'; vote for us and when we round everyone up and chuck them in a camp we'll make sure it's NIYourBY
Today we announce a new policy:
In order to deport all illegal migrants in Britain, Reform will need to detain tens of thousands at a time.
Migrants will not be able to leave these detention centres, and each will be held there a couple of weeks before being deported.
So here’s our promise:
A Reform government will not put any migrant detention facilities in any constituency with a Reform MP.
Nor will we put them where Reform controls the council.
And of the remaining areas, we will prioritise Green controlled parliamentary constituencies and Green controlled councils to locate the detention centres.
Put simply, if you vote in a Reform council or Reform MP, we guarantee you won’t have a detention centre near you.
If you vote Green, there’s a good chance you will.
This is an important exercise in democratic consent, not just for our mass deportation policy, but for where the detention centres are placed.
Given @ZackPolanski openly advocates for open borders, I look forward to their warm embrace of this policy.

A retweet by Zack Polanski is now the main story across every single media outlet.
Two days ago, it was revealed that Nigel Farage failed to disclose a £5 million gift from a crypto-billionaire.
It gets nowhere near the media attention, for straightforward political reasons.
A few visits to EIS recently; noticed zero visible progress on any of these sites. Just barely enough activity last year for some local politicians to make some videos about it, but no actual new homes.
What is causing the delay here?
@tomhunt100@SheffieldStar@olivercoppard
@jallison31 He seems to miss the ball by some way from any angle. I'm not sure what the fuss is about?! Reckless, misses the ball, both feet off the ground, scissor action... Red.
